Vegetable Oils

With our 5 extraction plants dotted around the country and located close to raw material sources, we achieve production versatility of rice bran and multi-seed oils that meets our customers' urgent and diverse demands.

By the end of 2007 when 4 of our plants around Bangkok operate on rice bran, our crude rice bran oil output is the largest in the country and probably globally. This willenable us to be self-reliant on our own controlled supply for our dedicated rice bran oil refinery.

Crude Oil

Three of our 5 extraction plants are to be totally dedicated to rice bran oil extraction while 2 other shall remain versatile for handling multi-seed to give the following crude oils throughout the year :-

• Crude Rice Bran Oil
• Crude Soybean Oil
• Crude Sunflower Seed Oil
• Crude Corn Germ Oil
• Crude Kapok Seed Oil     

Refined Oil

Our existing 2 refineries have the flexibility to handle any of our crude oils. However, one of the two refineries is dedicated to rice bran oil refining with all facilities (from crude intake through the refining process and subsequently into refined product storage and filling) completely isolated to prevent product cross contamination. Another refinery provides also international quality oils of soybean, sunflower seed and corn germ packed for retail as well as in bulk quantities to food exporting manufacturers.

Refined Rice Bran Oil

Our group has come a long way many decades past since our first day of venturing into being the first rice bran oil extractor in Thailand by utilizing our own parboiled rice bran from our rice mills.

Since then Rice Bran Oil has gradually gained world-wide acceptance as the versatile healthy oil due to its inherent properties of having a high smoke point, its balanced fatty acid profile, and the natural antioxidants of Vitamin E, plant sterols and gamma oryzanol which have been shown by many researches to help prevent cholesterol absorption from our diet into our blood stream.

Today, we are Thailand’s most significant and largest exporter of the most premium rice bran oil containing 5,000 ppm of the antioxidant gamma oryzanol.

Though relatively small in capacity when compared to other commodity oil producers, our rice bran oil refinery has produced almost 10,000 tons of refined rice bran oil annually. At full capacity we are able to produce some 23,000 tons per annum of rice bran oil of various grades. Our target expansion to be completed by early 2008 shall see us able to produce twice that annual quantity making us the undoubted largest producer of international standard refined rice bran oil. At present, we are already probably the world’s largest retail exporter of such oil across 5 continents under our own brand names of Alfa One, Rizi and Arroza for our main 3 grades as well as other housebrands and customers’ brands.

Rice Bran Oil By-Products

We produce by-products from our refining processes that are used as raw materials by our customers for various applications such as :-

• Crude Rice Bran Oil for human food supplement, animal feed & vitamin extraction
• Crude Rice Bran Lecithin as a food ingredient and as an animal feed
• Rice Bran Free Fatty Acid for animal feed, vitamin extraction & soap making
• Rice Bran Wax for cosmetic & wax applications

Refining & Filling Facilities

Due to the incorporated flexibilities in our plant designs we are able to satisfy our customers with varying requirements on product specifications to suit their applications. Our existing refineries are undergoing a major upgrading and replacement program incorporating the newest technologies in vegetable oil refining, together with more flexibilities for future changes in product specifications.

Our many filling lines for bulk and pack filling both automatically and semi-automatically are now completely refurbished and are operated to meet international requirements for hygiene and safety in accordance with GMP and HACCP.

Pack Sizes

Our domestic packaging comes in various sizes, bulk truck load, 206L plastic or steel drums, 15L, 18L & 20L plastic pails, 18L tins, 7.5L, 5L, 3L, 2L, 1L, 0.75L, 0.5L, 0.25L and 0.125L PET bottles under our own brands as well as customers' brands.

For export market we cater for 21-ton flexi-tank, 206L (180-190kg) steel drum, 25L, 20L, 18L & 15L plastic pails, our innovative and unique 15L & 18L plastic bag in a box (BIB), 7.5L, 5L, 3L, 2L, 1L, 0.75L and 0.5L PET bottles.

Quality Control

Our quality control laboratory is continuously upgraded to incorporate the most efficient and up-to-date testing machines that will keep our product specifications and qualities in check as well as to provide in-house support to our product development programs. Our products are tested in accordance to internationally recognized test methods.

Additionally, our test results are regularly verified by third party laboratories, which are recognized internationally.

Product and Process Certification

All products from our extraction and refinery plants are Kosher and Halal certified.

Additionally, our refinery and filling processes and procedures have been GMP and HACCP Certified by SGS, an internationally well-known Certifying Body.

When required by our customers, internationally recognized surveyors certify our products' quality and quantity.
