Rice Export

Although the Group exports rice of various varieties and grades but our emphasis is on supplying the world with Thai Parboiled Rice. Suffice to say, Kamolkij is one of the best known exporters of Thai Parboiled Rice in the world with more than 300,000 Metric Tons shipped annually to various countries in Africa and the Middle East. Our clients range from small traders, supermarket suppliers to multinational conglomerates and brokers.

Our Parboiled Rice

Parboiled rice is a variety of rice products that owes its distinct characteristics of yellowish, yet translucent appearance to the parboiling process, which is a hydrothermal process of soaking, steaming and drying the paddy before milling. The result of such process gives many benefits such as to increase the milling yield of paddy, to prevent the loss of valuable nutrients during milling and to improve the shelf life of rice as well as to prevent the proliferation of fungus and insects.

After parboiling, the grain structure becomes compact and the content of vitamins and mineral salts enhanced. The grains remain firmer during cooking.

Though not a staple food for the Thai, parboiled rice has been actively produced in Thailand for export to countries all over the world. Kamolkij has been renowned as the forefront company in the development of parboiling process and having been in the top 5 of the world's parboiled rice exporting companies.

Processing and service

Our processing and storage facilities have undergone a major upgrade and is now capable of storing more than 20,000 Metric Tons of rice. Employing the latest technology of laser eyed color sorting machines, we have improved our cleaning and grading of rice to match specifications of clients’ needs. The branding of bag is absolutely up to our customers’ design as we carefully custom made each shipment at customers’ will.

We take the issue of quality control seriously and therefore carefully select our suppliers of rice. They are our trusted partners who share the same mission of satisfying the end consumers and therefore uphold the same philosophy of providing only the best. By binding closely with our suppliers we cultivate mutual loyalty and cooperation which result in our maintaining high standard and reliability of product and service all year round. For added assurance, our export’s quantities and qualities can be certified before shipment by internationally recognized surveyors to increase customers’ confidence.

Packaging

We package our rice and customize bag design by client demand. The sizes available are 50kgs, 25kgs, and 10kgs in PP material or jute bag. Other sizes and material are also available on enquiry. Our packing/loading facility is capable of packing up to 40,000 X 50kgs bags or 2,000 Metric Tons per day.

Logistics

Our location by the major river Chao Praya gives blessing to our speedy and economic delivery of break bulk by barge onto vessels loading at river port of Bangkok and/or sea port of Kohsichang. Container shipment is also made easy with our immediate access to major roads. Our factory’s experienced workers and modern equipment are ready to handle each cargo loadings with special care.
